Cash Advances

Delta County Federal Credit Union offers cash advance services at both our ATMs and at the teller counter. Cash advances are available to both members and non-members.

ATM-based cash advances can be requested on Visa or MasterCard branded credit cards using the “credit” option under the withdrawal feature. ATM-based cash advances require the use of a PIN provided by the card issuer and the maximum available for cash advance via this method is based on the parameters set by the credit card issuer.

MSR-initiated (teller) cash advances are available on Visa and MasterCard branded cards. MSR-initiated cash advances do not require knowledge of a PIN but do require the cardholder to present the card in person, along with valid identification, and to sign a cash advance receipt.  The maximum available via a cash advance is determined by parameters set by the card-issuing financial institution.

No transaction fees are charged for teller-initiated cash advances. ATM-based cash advances will be charged the Credit Union’s standard ATM surcharge of $2.50. This fee is charged for all ATM-based cash advances regardless of whether the requestor is a member or non-member.

Wire Transfers

Delta County Federal Credit Union has the capability to initiate same-day electronic funds transfers to any permitted recipient with an account at a domestic or foreign financial institution. In order to initiate an outgoing wire transfer simply provide valid routing instructions to any Member Services Representative (MSR). Routing instructions include: Receiving financial institution name, physical address, phone number and ABA/Routing Number, along with the name, physical address and account number of the recipient.

The Credit Union has daily cut off times for wire transfer requests. Cut off times are as follows:

  • Transmittal of domestic wire transfer: Order must be received by 3pm.
  • Transmittal of international wire transfer: Order must be received by 2pm.
  • Incoming wire transfers: Funds must arrive by 4pm to be posted on the same business day.

Keep in mind that funds sent via wire cannot be recalled or stopped once sent. Funds received via wire are considered "collected funds" and will be immediately available for access.

ACH Payments

An ACH Transfer is an electronic funds transfer that you can order through Delta County Federal Credit Union for the purposes of transmitting funds to any domestic person or entity for whom you have proper routing instructions.

The routing instructions required to successfully complete an ACH Transfer are:  Name of fund recipient, financial institution account number of fund recipient, name of receiving financial institution along with address, and the financial institution ABA/Routing number.  ACH transfers are limited to fund movement within U.S. borders.  For those needing to transfer funds outside of U.S. borders, a Wire Transfer would be the appropriate payment vehicle.

ACH Transfers may be set up in person (phone requests are not permitted) and may be established as one-time or as recurring transfers, with a one-time set up fee of $5 in either instance.  For recurring orders, instructions will remain in effect until or unless revoked by the initiating member.  Maximum ACH transfer limit is $10,000 and the funds typically take 24-48 hours (1-2 business days) to arrive at their destination.  If the situation requires the recipient to have possession of funds faster than this time frame, a Wire Transfer might be a better option as Wire Transfers are immediate.
