Money Market
If the rate of return on a regular Share (Savings) or Share Draft (Checking) account doesn't quite fit your needs, but you are not prepared to tie up your funds for an extended period in a Share Certificate (CD), you might consider the benefits of a Money Market account. Money Market accounts can be designated as either Checking or Savings Accounts and offer the same benefits as Share or Share Draft accounts, but pay a higher dividend (interest rate). Money Market accounts do, however, require a considerably higher opening balance than a regular Share or Share Draft account ($5,000 for Money Market Checking and $2,500 for Money Market Savings). Money Market Savings offers tiered dividend rates based on the balance in your account.
All of your funds on deposit with Delta County Federal Credit Union are federally insured for up to $250,000 by NCUA.
