Member Alert: Please be aware of a credit card scam that is moving across the country. The scam caller will claim to be from Visa or MasterCard. They will have your name and credit card number and state that a possible fraudulent purchase has been charged to your account. Then to verify that the card is still in your possession, they will ask for the 3-digit number on the back of your card. The scam caller can then use this information to post charges to your card. Do not give out this 3-digit number. Any legitimate caller from Visa or MasterCard will already have this information on file and will not ask for it. If you receive a scam call like this, do not give them any information. Hang up and call the 1-800-number on the back of your card to verify any transactions.
